This blog has been keeping track of my adventures since 2004. The stories and the adventures have come from my college dorm room to Uganda, Peace Corps Kyrgyzstan, learning Dutch in the Netherlands to living in the wilds of Homer, Alaska. I went back to school in Amsterdam to study Theaterwetenschap (Theatre Science) at University of Amsterdam. And now my adventures as a Fruit Fly, a Sexy Unicorn, and creating a movement with Team Sparkle in Chicago.

My unlived life

This morning after going to the bathroom the antique lock on the bathroom door broke. I became trapped in the bathroom. It only toom about 5 minutes to get me out of the bathroom but in that time it got me thinking.
I started thinking about how my life isn't what I always dreamed it would be: A situational comedy. If my life was a situational comedy I would have been trapped in there for hours and with someone else, perferably someone I had a problem with. Since I am in the habit of going to the bathroom by myself that will probably never happen. I will probably never take a trip to Hawai'i where my friend will be called a god. However, there is a good chance I will get locked into a walk in freezer... I mean accidents happen.

Lessons from an Au-Pair #5

Chocolate Milk and Blood while both stain bed sheets. However, if you find a two year old in what looks like blood stained sheets see if she was given a bottle of chocalte milk before you freak out.
