Carol Bontekoe

This blog has been keeping track of my adventures since 2004. The stories and the adventures have come from my college dorm room to Uganda, Peace Corps Kyrgyzstan, learning Dutch in the Netherlands to living in the wilds of Homer, Alaska. I went back to school in Amsterdam to study Theaterwetenschap (Theatre Science) at University of Amsterdam. And now my adventures as a Fruit Fly, a Sexy Unicorn, and creating a movement with Team Sparkle in Chicago.

Snow Storm in Chicago

I know it is a bit late to post my photos from when we had a huge snow storm here in Chicago but I'm trying to get back on track to blog regularly and photos is easier for me right now than writing a whole piece. Some of these photos are from my camera phone so I apologize for the poor quality.

A Car Fossil is left after a week of being trapped in the snow the car is finally released.

The Chicago Dibs System. Apparently if you dig yourself in the snow you can place a ratty old chair in the place to hold the spot for when you come back. I said in Michigan we would just run over your chair. :D

Almost lost in the snow.

The sidewalk next to my apartment after the snow blower has come through.

The chicago Skyline.
